ENERGY MEDICINE
Healing Touch Program

Healing Touch is a leader in the field of energy medicine. All practitioners must meet the requirements of a rigorous curriculum which maintains its integrity, regardless of where the classes are offered. Healing Touch classes have been conducted in at least 32 countries. Practitioners also abide by Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics expectations.
The Healing Touch Program curriculum or the Healing Touch Certified Practitioner credential is endorsed or accredited by these agencies which are independent of Healing Touch Program.
* American Holistic Nurses Association, endorsed
* National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (Healing Touch is energy work, however, NOT body work for continuing education
* American Nurses Credentialing Center for continuing nursing education
*Canadian Holistic Nurses Association, endorsed

Distant (Remote) Healing

Studies in Quantum Physics include what Albert Einstein called "spooky action at a distance." These days, quantum physicists use the term quantum entanglement. For an explanation about distant (or remote) energy healing, here's a link to an article by a European physician about this issue.

The Body: Energy We See and Energy We Don't See

According to James Oschman, PhD, in his book Energy Medicine: The Scientific Basis (2000), "In a few decades, scientists have gone from a conviction that there is no such thing as energy fields in and around the human body to an absolute certainty that they exist."
This concept is easier for me to understand when I think about the electromagnetic energy that instruments measure during some medical procedures, such as EEGs, MRIs, or ECGs. I don't see that energy, but it's there.
Since You Do Energy Work, How Does That Have a Physical Effect?

Healing Touch tends to elicit the relaxation response in a client. This releases endorphins, which starts a healthy domino effect of reactions. This graphic created by Carol Komitor, of Healing Touch for Animals, makes it easy to follow the dominoes.
